Job Demands Analysis
Physical or Job Demands Analysis (JDA) is a systematic procedure to evaluate and quantify the physical/environmental demands of all essential and non-essential tasks of a particular job. It is developed by onsite evaluation of the workspace and interviews with current employees and owners.
Pre/Post Offer Work Screening
Before hire testing is a process that can help an employer assess a job candidate's ability to safely assume and/or resume work duties. The testing is designed by using information from the Job Demands Analysis. Information is also gathered by the clinician observing current employees performing the tasks.
Functional Capacity Evaluations
The FCE is an assessment tool that evaluates an individual's capacity to perform work activities related to his/her job. The testing can be based from a specific job or to assess general abilities to return to some level of work. This testing can be completed in one day over 3-4 hours or in 2 days over 6-8 hours.
